Mars starts using animal products
“Mars, Snickers and Twix chocolate bars
Masterfoods’ brands are household names
Some of the UK’s best-selling chocolate bars, such as Mars and Twix, will no longer be suitable for vegetarians.
Also affecting brands such as Snickers and Maltesers, owner Masterfoods said it had started to use animal product rennet to make
its chocolate products.”
“If the customer is an extremely strict vegetarian, then we are sorry the products are no longer suitable, but a less strict vegetarian should enjoy our chocolate,” said Paul Goalby, corporate affairs manager for Masterfoods.”
Sorry guys - but that just ruled out a tonne of chocolate for us - still, There’s Cadbury’s, and disgusting Hershey’s….
“The Vegetarian Society said it was “extremely disappointed”.”

firstly, it only comes into effect with those with expriy date after October 1, so we stil got some time 2 enjoy them!
well have to see how long this lasts. as it is walkers put animal rennet (yuck!) in crisps couple of years back, and now, there halal again! Woohoo!

Its true, Walkers did indeed remove the rennet! light at the end of the tunnel - Stay strong in your faith…
I can’t understand the moveby masterfoods, I’m sure its not just the Muslim community they are marginalising. I’m not sure, but I can only guess that its a cost cutting measure - cheapskates make millions as it is…
Pity it’s such a money hungry society!

This rabbi was on the radio, and they asked him, you cant eat it anymore can you?, and guess what he said, “its such a small amount that it dosent matter!” and they were like “Rabbi, its still in it, innit!” lol
And then this Mufti came on and was like yeh we cant eat it….
Im stocking up on Snickers!!!
